Comdel Expanding RF Product
Sales and Support in Japan

Gloucester, Massachusetts, September 27, 2001—Comdel Inc., the leader in reliable RF power supplies, today announced a strategic agreement with Sanki Planning Co. Ltd. to expand Comdel's business opportunities and increase customer service and support in Japan.

In response to the sophisticated and diverse needs of Comdel's growing base of Japanese customers and to enhance service and repair capabilities in Japan, Comdel has established a partnership with Sanki Planning Co. Ltd., an experienced electronics firm in Tokyo. Sanki Planning was founded in 1986 and has been working with etch systems for the semiconductor industry since 1996.

Comdel has entered into this agreement because of the state-of-the-art repair facilities, expansive warehouse for parts inventory and product distribution, and proven ability to provide superior onsite support, training and consulting services that Sanki Planning offers major OEM customers in the region.

With Sanki Planning's extensive experience in DC power supplies and a plan in place for recruiting and training a qualified staff to handle Comdel's broad base of RF power systems, the Comdel business unit in Japan should be fully staffed and operational by the end of 2001.
