Comdel Expands Facility as Demand for Their
RF Products Continues to Grow

Gloucester, Massachusetts—In response to the unprecedented demand for RF power solutions, Comdel, a leading manufacturer of radio frequency (RF) power supplies, is breaking ground on a 30,000 square foot addition to their manufacturing facility in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

“To enable our customers to stay on the cutting edge of their technology we need to double our prototype short-run capabilities, as well as our engineering design and applications testing areas,” says Ted Johnson, President and CEO of Comdel. “We needed to grow our business in order to satisfy the demands of our current customers and take on the challenges of delivering RF power supplies to new markets.”

Through this expansion, Comdel’s Production Area will also be enlarged with other areas being streamlined to more easily transfer the latest test technology from the development arena to high-volume manufacturing. The build-out plans will be done in two phases with the first phase completed in May and the entire project scheduled for completion in mid-July.

Increase in demand for high power, high frequency power supplies has caused more semiconductor and flat panel equipment manufactures to turn to Comdel. Comdel’s CX 10K series power supplies are far superior in performance to other high power products on the market. Ted Johnson adds that it’s Comdel’s ability to develop reliable power supplies while reducing customers time-to-market, which has made the company so successful over the past 35 years.
