Comdel Products Pass SEMI F47
with Flying Colors

Gloucester, Massachusetts—Comdel gives semiconductor equipment manufacturers another reason to have confidence in Comdel's RF power supplies by passing SEMI F47 voltage sag immunity testing.

“Voltage sag issues are of great concern to our customers world-wide. When equipment fails during voltage sags it can be a costly and time consuming process to get systems up and running again,” said Bob Dettorre, Comdel's Regulatory Compliance Manager. “It's our mission to be responsive to the challenges that our customers face, and provide solutions that make their job easier.”

Testing was carried out by Power Standards Laboratory, on several of Comdel's most popular systems. All of the tested products have been certified. Additional products will continue to be tested to satisfy the needs of customers. Power Standards Laboratory, is the same accredited organization that has performed SEMI F47 testing for Applied Materials, Novellus, KLA-Tencor and Mattson.

The SEMI F47 standard, developed by the SEMI organization, requires that semiconductor processing equipment tolerate voltage sags on their ac power line. Many major semiconductor manufacturers are beginning to utilize this standard when procuring equipment. Comdel has built a reputation for stable designs and reliable products, and has placed regulatory compliance as a top priority. Comdel products also carry the ETL mark for product safety, the CE European mark of product safety and have maintained S2-93 compliance since 1996.

Comdel, headquartered in Gloucester, Massachusetts, designs, develops and manufactures innovative, high quality RF power systems for leading companies in semiconductor, metal heat-treating, food cooking and drying, dielectric heating, medical lasers, and thin film markets.
